Startup financing for beginners

For new or prospective startup investors, we have created special services to help with orientation at the equity market. Gain an overview of the topic, weigh up the risks and get in touch with other investors.

We enable you to assess your risk profile, how you can design your portfolio strategy, which financial resources are necessary for start-up investments or which tax and contractual issues you will face before you get involved with a start-up.

Business Angel Academy

As a private investor, you bear an entrepreneurial risk – therefore you should know the rules of the market. At the Business Angel Academy, experts from the venture capital industry share their knowledge in an exclusive setting and support you in starting your investment activities in startups. The academy offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people and experts.

In a two-day interactive workshop, we answer the most important questions on the topic of startup investments. You will learn how to find suitable startups, how the processes of an investment work, what young entrepreneurs expect from you and which legal and tax aspects need to be taken into account in equity financing.

The Business Angel Academy is particularly aimed at privately wealthy people who are considering investing in startups from their family business or with their family's money.

Business Angel Breakfast

Informative events in the morning among private investors: at the BayStartUP Business Angel Breakfasts we discuss current issues in a small circle, e.g. on the topic of "tax aspects and current developments in private direct investments".

Some of the workshops we offer to startups are also aimed at investors. Of particular interest to prospective Business Angels are the workshop dates on the subject of "Typical clauses in participation agreements": (please note: German language only).
