The Allgäu tech startup Mozaik (Picture Framing GmbH) was one of the winners in the 2021 Business Plan Competition Swabia, followed by their high six-figure seed funding in July of the same year. Mozaik's video creator app enables companies to easily and cheaply shoot professional videos with their smartphones.
Neele Maarten de Vries, co-founder and CEO of Mozaik:
The Business Plan Competition Swabia was the ideal opportunity for us to put our business plan through its paces. We received professional feedback from experienced experts, which we were able to use for our further path. In addition, BayStartUP was an important contact and supporter for our later financing round with the coaching at our business incubator.
The winning teams in the Business Plan Competition Swabia are awarded at festive award events. Here, the best up-and-coming entrepreneurs come together with startup experts and experienced entrepreneurs from the region. Those interested in start-ups are also invited to attend the award ceremony and get to know the top teams and their ideas personally.
1st place: Pandia 3D combines the latest 3D technologies with AI algorithms to create scanning solutions for industrial processes. 2nd place: Flowsight is developing a web platform that displays and analyzes process industry data in real time to predict failures and guide resulting maintenance cases. For this purpose, sensor data of the entire process is collected, analyzed using AI and identified maintenance tasks are adaptively guided using AR tutoring.
