Winner of the Ideenreich 2025 business plan competition

Robot management system for personnel relief, AI models for HR consultancies and platform for space experiences: The start-ups from the region are diverse and demonstrate innovative strength.

Start-ups from Deggendorf, Regensburg and Landshut are at the cutting edge with their technologies - three of them have now been able to convince the jury of their business ideas in the Ideenreich 2025 business plan competition.

The competition supports founders from the region on their way from the start-up idea to market entry. It is organised by BayStartUP in cooperation with the Gründerzentrum Digitalisierung Niederbayern (GZDN). Many thanks to our partners Bayern Kapital and LfA for supporting the competition.

These are the winners of the Ideenreich 2025 business plan competition

1st place: Athegus from Deggendorf Institute of Technology

Athegus is developing hospOS, the first manufacturer-independent, modular robot management system to relieve the burden on staff and improve healthcare. It combines components such as robots and building technology in an intelligent system that can be operated easily and without technical expertise via web apps, robots and other interfaces. With the use cases of orientation and transport, it counteracts the shortage of skilled nursing staff, saves costs and thus increases the quality of care.

Sebastian Schmidt, Co-Founder of Athegus:

We take part in BPW Ideenreich to gain visibility, contacts and feedback. From our previous start-ups, we know how valuable such competitions and the services offered by BayStartUP are for further developing your own business idea.

2nd place: Loka AI from the University of Regensburg

Loka AI is an AI-based solution for searching internal candidate pools in executive search firms. By using local AI models, candidate profiles are analysed in compliance with the high data protection requirements and enhanced with relevant information such as industry information and company size. This simplifies and accelerates the search for suitable candidates.
