How can Bavarian start-ups and SMEs create innovations together? What framework conditions are needed for successful collaborations? These questions were at the centre of the B2B DemoDay. On behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, BayStartUP and Bayern Innovativ are developing concepts for more cooperation and suitable "matchings" between start-ups and SMEs. The aim is to create synergies and strengthen the innovative power of Bavaria as a business location.
The event therefore offered an excellent opportunity to get to know innovative ideas and technological advances and to exchange ideas about possible cooperation projects.
In addition to representatives of Alois Müller GmbH, whose incubator GreenTech Hub GmbH drives forward new solutions in the field of green technologies and particularly promotes cooperation with start-ups, numerous representatives of well-known companies were also present. The presentation by Dr Frank Feller, patent attorney at Weickmann & Weickmann, who spoke about dealing with IP in cooperation projects and particularly addressed the challenges and opportunities in projects between start-ups and SMEs, offered interesting insights.
Representatives of large corporations such as Audi, Nokia and Siemens as well as numerous SMEs such as Sembach Ceramic Solutions, Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH and Lindauer Dornier GmbH were also guests at the event.

The participating start-ups presented exciting solutions:
- A GDPR-compliant AI solution that helps companies to optimise their business processes and carry out data protection-compliant analyses.
- An AI-based solution for the rapid creation of legally compliant data protection declarations and other legal documents
- A digital energy co-pilot that uses digital twins to optimise energy consumption and costs and helps companies to operate more sustainably.
- Specialised IoT solutions for SMEs that aim to optimise production and business processes through cutting-edge technologies.

The B2B Demo Day was an excellently organised event and helped us as a start-up to make contact with relevant customers and expand our network. It was particularly positive that we had the opportunity to hold direct discussions with relevant customers and receive valuable feedback on our range of services. This helped us to further improve our product and better understand the needs of our potential customers. Thanks to the event, we were able to arrange follow-up meetings with three medium-sized companies.
