Winners in phase 2 of the Business Plan Competition Northern Bavaria 2024

These five teams convinced the jury.

These are the winning teams

Gaming Academy from Aschaffenburg is developing an all-in-one learning portal GA.GG, which gamers can use to improve their skills in the game League of Legends. An expansion for all relevant e-sports titles is planned for the future. GA Hexcore A.I. analyses players' weaknesses and suggests the right teaching content and coaches for each individual.

LinaThera from Erlangen is developing a facility for the production of medical radionuclides for targeted, gentle cancer therapy. Unlike conventional sources, the company does not rely on nuclear reactors, but produces medical radioisotopes in a sustainable facility that makes an enormous contribution to healthcare and is also scalable.

excav from Erlangen enables excavation work to be carried out to the nearest centimetre without the need for levelling lasers or other complex measuring methods thanks to the GNSS-based excavator assistance system. The mobile sensor can be magnetically installed on the construction machine in just a few minutes thanks to its plug-and-play functionality. The data is communicated to the construction machine operator via an app.

BesserEsser App from Nuremberg is an AI-supported digital diet and symptom diary that enables patients to recognise and treat individual food intolerances. After just two weeks, users know their individual symptom triggers and receive personalised recommendations for dietary changes and recipe suggestions.

The innovative reconstruction software from Erlangen-based Voxray makes it possible to create almost error-free 3D models of complex samples from computer tomography data that could not previously be measured. For industry, this method offers new opportunities to optimise the development process and save costs.

These startups were also nominated in phase 2 of the Northern Bavarian Business Plan Competition:

  • edu is the personal school and career planner for students that helps students with organisation and career guidance, creates a student marketing channel and supports the digital transformation of the school landscape.
  • complioty supports manufacturing SMEs in implementing and complying with the latest OT security standards with its AI-based compliance-as-a-service platform.
  • Hubql offers a collaborative, visual development environment that supports software teams in increasing the quality and speed of the development process.
  • NextHeat provides a hydrogen-based plug-and-play solution for the decarbonisation of high-temperature process heat in industry.
  • PerfectSens is a sensor system for the detection of any foreign objects in food production.
