Review: First B2B Demo Day in Nuremberg - a complete success

The first B2B Demo Day took place in Nuremberg on 7 March. Under the motto "Innovation through cooperation", 20 start-ups presented their solutions for manufacturing companies.

This led to numerous new leads and contacts, from which the first cooperation projects are now developing. Presentations and discussions centred on the question: "How can Bavarian start-ups and SMEs create innovations together?" We discussed which framework conditions are required for successful collaborations.

A highlight of the event was the panel discussion with Dr Thomas Wagner, Managing Director of Intego GmbH and Dr Johann Neidl, Head of Unit Digitisation at HORSCH.

The most important insights:

Cooperation is not always just customer relationships or participation. Be open to new cooperation models and talk about individual needs.
Partnerships as a win-win situation only work on an equal footing and with staying power.
Start-ups should not underestimate the willingness of SMEs to provide support. From an exchange of advice to the use of production facilities - there are many opportunities for cooperation.

The B2B Demo Night was great. In a relaxed atmosphere, we discussed the importance of CO2-neutral products with numerous companies and were able to demonstrate our digital solution for the product carbon footprint. Thanks to BayStartUp for the successful organisation!

Alfred Bergold, Innovation Manager at ANSMANN AG reports

At the B2B Demo Night in Nuremberg, the service portfolios of the participating start-ups were presented in a compact form. This enabled us to make two extremely interesting contacts that we are currently actively pursuing.

Outlook for the future

The first B2B & Industry Demo Day impressively demonstrated the potential of collaboration between Bavarian start-ups and SMEs.

The next event will take place on 5 June at the Munich Technology Centre.
