The winners of the business plan competition North Bavaria 2020 have been determined! For the first time, the award ceremony took place as a "hybrid" event at the TechBase in Regensburg and was broadcasted online as a live stream.
In all three phases of this year's North Bavarian Business Plan Competition, we received submissions from around 150 startups. This makes the 2020 season one of the strongest of the past ten years. In addition to the written expert feedback of several pages, the winners of the Northern Bavaria Business Plan Competition receive prize money of 22,500 euros.
ING3D from Zirndorf in the county of Fürth takes 1st place.
With their patent-pending "Mineral Direct Laser Sintering" process, extremely light mineral objects can be produced in 3D printing for the first time.
The 2nd place goes to SCIO Technology from Aschaffenburg.
Their solution: In a highly flexible manufacturing process, they develop and produce customer-specific battery systems that offer cost advantages in a smaller installation space and weight and thus enable longer ranges, for example in electric mobility.
The third winner DocEstate also comes from Aschaffenburg.
The young company digitizes complex authority inquiries in the real estate industry and thereby relieves the owner and public administration.
1st place: ING3D UG (limited liability)
On the basis of the 3D manufacturing process "Mineral Direct Laser Sintering", MDLS for short, developed by ING3D and for which a patent application has been filed, extremely light, non-combustible objects can be produced for the first time using additives. The mineral raw material used makes 3D printing more than 10 times cheaper and faster than, for example, plastic printing. Thanks to MDLS, industrial customers are able to realize efficiency gains, interface reduction in overall production and necessary aspects of fire protection, thermal insulation, sound insulation and weight savings in their products.
2nd place: SCIO Technology GmbH
SCIO Technology GmbH develops and manufactures customized battery systems in series. The patented manufacturing process enables an efficient production, the modular approach accelerates the time-to-market by up to one third. The maximum energy density, the space-saving design and the simple cooling concept offer manufacturers and suppliers higher ranges with less weight. The SCIO battery systems create a new level of performance, compactness and quality.
Place 3: DocEstate GmbH
DocEstate, a PropTech company specializing in the digitization of governmental queries in the real estate segment, makes it possible to digitally apply for, evaluate and make available official documents online to public administration, building authorities and agencies.
