The winners of the Business Plan Competition Swabia have now been determined. Three strong teams from Bavarian Swabia were able to convince the BayStartUP jury of their business concepts.
1st place: OSORA medical GmbH
OSORA, based in Neu-Ulm, Germany, is developing predictive analytics software for simulating bone healing to support physicians in patient-specific therapy planning.
With OSORA's software, physicians can simulate the entire healing process in the bone on a patient-specific basis and, in the future, test the effectiveness of different therapy paths without risk before they are used on the patient. The technology allows predictive statements on bone healing and detects biomechanical complications at an early stage. In the future, patients will benefit from individual load control during follow-up care and thus faster healing and mobilization.
Dr. Andreas Arnegger, Managing Director at OSORA medical GmbH:
Diverse, well-founded and constructive feedback from the experienced BayStartUP jury is invaluable for the further development of our business plan. Bonus: We get to know a variety of startups and gain insights into their ways of solving problems.

2nd place: maple.
maple. from Kempten is a software that enables architects to quickly generate high-quality building designs and optimize them for various aspects using generative algorithms.
The focus is on sustainable construction and conversion of existing buildings. maple. is used primarily in the early planning phases and supports the architect's services in the preliminary planning, design planning and execution planning of buildings and building complexes of any size.

3rd place: Gleea Educational Software GmbH
With the EINFACH RETTEN app, Gleea from Klosterlechfeld enables qualified personnel in rescue services to train regularly by simulating realistic case studies.
The practical learning app supports professionals both in training and in the day-to-day work of the rescue service. Just like in real life, patients have to be treated, diagnoses have to be made and medication has to be dosed correctly. Regular practice in our app ensures the quality of emergency medicine - and makes the profession of emergency paramedic even more attractive. The case studies are individually adapted to regional requirements.

These were the other nominees in the Business Plan Competition Swabia 2023
- With their modern cloud application, Certado from Friedberg create a single source of truth for all information relating to a company's operational resources.
- daHome Architekten from Eichstätt break down the planning process for house construction into standardized partial services, thus optimizing construction quality and saving their customers time and construction costs.
